So what do you with your kid's school artwork?

End of Term 1, Nawi Amsyar had brought back all his artwork and home school activities' project home. It was fun going through with him all the artwork that he had done. I realized his school had provided a lot of opportunities for hands on learning and the teacher did a wonderful job in labelling all the artefacts to enable parents to easily comprehend the artwork produced. ♡

Look at his faces and reactions when sharing about his work!
Only this artwork he willingly gave it to Naufal because he said its 'hantu' hahahahah (apa saje lah budak pandai ni haha)

Since we are still in progress of building a proper storage for the kids learning stuff, I had filed in his artwork. Once in awhile will let him take a look at them again:) (nanti dah banyak semak, baru bin calling kot haaaa)

On top of that, he also had home school projects.. for Term 1, we did a family tree and a family photo album..

Yeap! As you can see, I framed up the family tree heee using Daiso's photo frame..it was our hardwork! When I say 'our', including Naufal also..It was funlah! We painted our palms according to our favorite color and then we pasted our pictures. Ta da! And having it in the playroom makes Nawi Amsyar so proud ♡

Another one of our home school project Ive placed it in the kid's library shelf. Can you spot it?

Can you spot that little tiny thing with eyes? Haaa

Yes!You are right there it is!

The kids enjoy taking the mini photo album out and talked about the photos. This is also 'our' hardwork. It was so fun doing it and the most important thing Nawi Amsyar able to share and talk about the photos. Naufal also love looking at the photos and all smiley when seeing the familiar faces:) As the project leader (ceh ceh) I will always try my best to come up with a product that enable everyone to be involved even the daddy and adik Naufal:) And it was so effertlessly fun when doing projects with the kiddos when you have a supporting hubby. Thank u abah for always making time for the kids even though you have lil rest, you will always have time for us.. thank u♡

Moral of the story: appreciate the time to do things with your kids..even how small or minor it is..our kids will truly treaure it..so the keyword is 'make time even when you have no time'

Bring it on projects!

Snow, do you miss me?

So yesterday, we went back Jurong after Nawi's school to visit my dearest youngest lil sis who's back from Thailand. She's The Mak Bubu to the kids:)

So sweet of her to buy soooo many oleh-oleh for us especially for Nawi and Naufal. Heart you sis ♡

But the highlight for yesterday was Nawi! Mak Bubu told him that she was going to give him and adik present. So he waited patiently and at times impatiently anticipating 'toys' for his present. So when Mak Bubu showed him all the oleh-oleh she bought from Thailand, he kept on saying "Nawi nak present" hahahahahahahaha. And even after he tried putting on the vibrant dino shirt which i loved it so much .....

A few seconds later, he kept asking Mak Bubu for his present hahahahaha.. and he showed this expression hahahahhahahaha!

Nawi Nawi...he was soo being used to Ummi and Abah giving him toys as present that when he received anything other than toys he would find that inordinary haaaa!
When we were back at Bukit Batok, hubby was not feeling well..after the kids recovered, I guessed his body surrendered..
My dearest lil sis was busy talking about her trip to Korea next week with my bro in law for their long dated honeymoon minus the kids..

Its gona be snowy there..so shes asking tons of stuff with regards to the things she needs to bring..and THAT brought back a lot of memories!!!
I realized it was 8 years ago I first stepped on a snow country and gosh I missed that moment very much!

And definitely missing these travelling duos.. our non stop laughter, lots of love, care and concern for one another during abroad.. Now each of us has our own family..how time flies..both of you are always in my doas.. never will forget our mask moments♡

Insha allah, instead of Malaysia this year, maybe we will be able to step into snow hmmmm hahahahha.. as long as its not snow city hahahaha... whatever it is syafakhallah to my 3 heroes.. let's recover fully first then we will think for our next trip♡

#Day 130: Abang & Adik

Paddlepoppity Yeay! I hit over the 100th mark! Can't believe it! You made it Syura! Im still in one piece and alhamdullilah the lil heroes still surviving under Ummi's kingdom -.- haaa

So previously during Mr Hubby's off day, we went to WestMall by bus and with the newly bought double pram that saved us so much hassle. Talking about the pram, we bought it at EzBuy for only $81 with delivery as well as shipping fee! Its sooo cheaplah and the quality is indeed of Cosatto kind hahahahha..(perasan) but seriously the quality didnt disappoint us and the kids enjoyed being in the pram everytime we bring them out. Its by far the cheapest we have got and not too heavy to be carried around when folded. The only minus side, you can't insert many things inside the basket underneath the pram. But hey, whats the hooks for kan. The Daiso hooks that we bought for $2 were so useful and till now long lasting. So heres the pram! Classy right! Its sturdy and the wheels are easy to maneuver. Eventhough its made from China, all the parts made it to Singapore and it was easy to fix. Its long and spacious for two. This picture was taken on the first day they sat in the pram when they were still not feeling well. Hence, those unglam faces. Then reached ShengSiong, both were so happy because theres 'udang' haaa.

So at WestMall, Mr Hubby wanted to treat me dinner. So I have to break my 'no food after 7pm' rule yesterday. Ouch the guilt! We wanted to watch Paskal, actually it was only me who wanted to watch Paskal-.-, but there was no session viewing for that day -.-. So I've decided Streats as I missed their Kway Teow.

The kids sat with me as I needed to nurse Naufal as well. So this thing happened. Im writing this post because I would like to remember this moment forever. While nursing Naufal, Nawi suddenly grabbed one of Naufal's leg which was nearest to him. He kept holding on while Naufal busy making his moves inside the nursing cover. So i told Nawi, "Nawi jangan pegang kaki adik. Sakit adik nanti". And you know what was his reply??!! "Abg pegang, nanti adik jatuh", Nawi said with his concern look. My heart melt sis. I really felt like crying. (But didnt, coz tengah tahan glam -.-). Ya Allah. Allah gave empathy inside a two year old boy whom always being reminded to be gentle with his adik. Why why do I feel like crying coz when he grabbed Naufal's leg I've never thought he would have that kind intention instead I thought he wanted to play with Naufal. It was such a touchy moment. Terharu sangat sis.

So this abang next year gonna enter school insha allah and yesterday was his orientation. Masjid Al-Mukminin was not our first choice but alhamdullilah Allah ease everything. So hes gonna be in N1 and its a 3 hour session 5 days per week. Its a great opportunity for me and the kids to visit 'Rumah Allah' often insha allah. Why put him in school? My main reason so I can have some alone time with Naufal:) Which I perceive as very important. Since the day he is born, his time has always been shared with his brother. He too needs alone time with Ummi. Secondly, both me and Mr Hubby want Nawi to socialize with peers of his same age. Lots of prayers for lil abg Nawi's journey in school insha allah. Semoga Nawi Amsyar sentiasa disayangi oleh hamba-hamba Allah yg dekat dengan Dia dan menyayangi hamba-hamba Allah yang dekat dengan Dia amin.

For now, we cant wait for December. Family holiday trip! Confirm plus chop its gona be messy but atleast that mess is surrounded with love and laughter of joy:)

#Day 91:The Q&A

Its been a long overdue post as all of us had been hit by the flu virus. Long dreaded weeks. Naufal started it and one by one semua hingus meleleh club lolz. Alhamdullilah, we are slowly back in track and praying hard that all of us regain a better, stronger and tougher immune system amin!

So instead of a bedtime story, today I'm gonna try to answer questions that people have been asking so far. Ceh macam artiste mana hahahaha! Here we go:)

How long have you stopped working? How does it feel?

Its been 3 months. Honestly it felt like it has been 3 years already haa. Truth to be told. Its tiring BUT fulfilling alhamdullilah.

Do you have any regrets to have quit teaching?
Straightforward answer, no my dear.

Do you miss working?
I miss the dollars hahahaha. Kinda miss the chaoticness being around colleagues and kids. But other than that, nah. But I truthfully miss studying. (Sponsors anyone hee)

Hows life being a full time mother?
First, if people call me taitai,i cucuk their hidung lol. Its like being in a Non Stop Pte Ltd working environment haaa. A loving and conducive one tho.

The contentment of having your loved ones 24 hours with you is a gift. Am really thankful for that. And within 3 months, Ive learnt to serve real cook dishes to mr hubby.

I would say, time management is the key. Having two young kids with you aint that easy to be separated from them. So that merely minutes in the toilet escaping from them is a skill. So yeah, imagine that life haaa.

What is your daily schedule?
To be honest, for now there isn't a fix schedule as we are still going over Jurong when theres noone looking after my mom (or when none of us is sick) and not forgetting the everchanging husband shifts.

Insha allah,in months to come, we will be able to regulate under a proper schedule and keeping me on proper track.

For now, is a bullet train routine that makes the time moves faster and my body clock works haywired lol. But okaylah, my Prada eyebags make my face look classy -.-.

Do you pick up any new skills?
Its like duhhh haha. Masterchef skill! Haaaaa..Ive learnt to cut onion without tears in my eyes no more lol. Seriously, Ive somehow learnt to cook and Mr Hubby has been awesome throughout the journey. He's a great motivator and would always provide room for me to be a better cook. So the dishes I've prepared ehemmm..haaa
-butter cereal prawn
-ayam lemak cili padi
-mi goreng basah
-mi horfun
-ayam butter
-kangkong sambal belacan
-nasi goreng hijo
-macaroni goreng
-spaghetti
-aglio oglio
-roti jala
-kari ayam
-jemput jemput
-jemput-jemput pisang

Wah macam banyak I dah masak eh sis. Haaaa. Whatever it is, its been long Ive not been using Asyura's paste and its like fuuuh terror nampak..haaa..now its all credits to YouTube channels BuatOrangLapo & Dapur Bujang:)

What can you do better?
Better control of my emotions in dealing with a toddler and an infant. Aint that easy seriously but Im grateful Allah chose me for this opportunity. I hope in months to come, when this question is prompted again,I would have looked back and see a better me.

Where do you see yourself in years to come?
When Nawi starts schooling insha allah, and better schedule on our side, insha allah I wana start doing project work basis focusing in Malay language for the young ones. Its just a plan, insha allah. The most important thing, is to definitely be a better ummi for the kids, great influencer for them especially and a better lover to mr hubby hahahah..especially to his tummy lol. Actually a healthier us. Insha allah, shed more kilos to catch up with the kiddos energy amin!

#Day 57: Is ummi cooking prawn for real??

Alhamdullilah.. The kids have recovered from high fever. Last week,  was pretty hectic and depressing for me. Lil heroes had high fever (eerily when at the clinic both had the same temperature 38.7!) , with one still breastfeeding, its definitely mind blowing. Syukur mr hubby managed to take two days of urgent leave. The kids demam kali ni so different. First,  its the first time Naufal had fever. Poor him. Tangan dia yang bruised still hasnt recovered and then he got fever.  Secondly,  coping with two young sick kids alone is scary actually. Why scary? Coz im a freak when it comes to fever. Cant help I will think of so many negative things when the body temperature doesnt decrease. And it was depressing as in when Naufal need to breastfeed, Nawi also needs my attention. And separating them both is hard. So really thankful Allah heard my prayers and mr hubby was around to ease the misery. Finally, after 4 long days, Im back to nagging at Nawi. So thats a sign Nawi has recovered!  Alhamdullilah. The 4 days seemed long and solemn coz the kids were not active as usual and I cant get to use my repeat mode voice on Nawi. Haaa.. Alhamdullilah Bukit Batok Polyclinic is near to home. So mr hubby got all the fever patches, thermometer plastic cover,  syringes and etc from Pharmacy using Naufal's baby bonus. Syukur. Thank u Pharmacy:) Lessen our burden you see. These were THE moments...

Looking back at those photos bring back a lot of guilt in me. Macam manalah orang yang ada anak sepuluh boleh jaga anak-anak dia bila demam. Salute to them.

So this week, we stayed at home to quarantine ourselves. Coz I also got feverish after they recovered. And alhamdullilah this week is school's holiday so Dhia (my niece)  company my mom who has survived the trauma episode of the doc pulling out the metal stuff. She got warded coz her bleeding didnt stop and due to fear of infection.  Tuesday admitted and alhamdullilah Sat she got discharged syukur. Sadly, I was not there throughout coz busy managing the sick kids at home.  But syukur, mokda, my siblings and MIL were always there for her. It all happened the same date when the lil heroes were under the weather. Are all these coincidence?? Neh. To me, ini semua Allah dah tentukan. Photos below were before she admitted. Naira was not feeling well too but still there for nenek.

So, alhamdullilah now all recovered syukur so yesterday I cooked something special for mr hubby hee. I like eating seafood but I dont want to be involved in the cooking process coz I is geli sis. Haaa..but as my mom always reminded me "biar suami makan dari masakan kita" so i beranikan diri tried cooking............. Butter cereal prawn for him!!!! Hahahahha I cant believe it. I spent 30 minutes washing and cleaning the prawns. And only 8 prawns okay??!! !Hahahahhahahaha I cannot.. But I cuba sis hahahahhha.. And biasalah when in the kitchen, ada je suara background nak attention. So this adik now can crawl so fast already and always want to be around me. While Nawi busy sleeping, he busy at dapur lol. Reminding myself he is only 6 months but now nak stand up already hahaha.. But whatever it is mr hubby enjoyed the meal and he even brought the leftover cereal crumbs to work.  Touching kan! Tak sia-sia sis operate si udang tu hahahha.. Heres a snippet lol
Ps: the recipe was really easy to tell you the truth. Just youtube 'butter cereal prawn recipe' and tadaaaa so many examples! !

#Day 43: Sacrifices of a Dad

Today's post is dedicated to the father of my two heroes.. Mr hubby:)
Usually, when a working mother changes her status to a housewife, a lot of people will have this perception that husband has to pump in more effort at work.. Rarely people sees the huge amount of effort that the wife/woman has to dedicate her life for the family.. But its okay.. Dah kata manusia kan.. No use in proving it to people.. But apapun anyways this blog is about my dear hubby.. So dear me, please focus..

So what do we do when we have time for each other and with the kids?  Firstly, he works shift. He dont usually take off day. Literally, he works everyday. When he has OT, he will take it coz he knows that will help us in our savings. Thats how hardworking/ workaholic he is. And this routine has been a norm when I was still working  back then. He is just hardworking and think alot about the future savings.  But it doesn't stop there. When he has time at home, he will input in the household chores and especially taking care of the kids.

The days that me and the kids look forward to very much will be none other than his off day. We dont have a transportation except for his bike. So what we do is we will always go for a walk around the neighbourhood. Maybe to some, kata off day lepas tu jalan-jalan bawah block je. But to me and the kids, those time with him is so precious. Lagi precious dari gi Sentosa gitu haa.

And this kinda activity has been a norm since those days that we were free from pram and diapers haaa. Am thankful that we still continue doing this simple activity with the kids. Being with mr hubby,  teaches me how life can be just simple and grateful. Having him around,  always make me calm when I have panic attack or in stress mode.

Thanking him is never enough. Doa is the best gift for him. May Allah always protect him and provide him the Taqwa and Ilmu to always guide me and the kids to the correct path.

And on the days that he come home early,  we will just snack, lepak at home,  watch drama together with the kids. And now our fave is Superspontan Xtravaganza and I can see your voice! We can talk non stop about those characters in the show lol!

We love you abah. Thank you so much for always working hard for us. You are always in our prayers. XOXO
(Ps: i will try my best to learn to cook seafood for your tummy's craving... Hmmm but many in years to come.. Hahahahhahahahah)

To more adventures exploring the neighbourhood and searching for beautiful ulat bulu gong gong eeewww lol!
